The Sheldon Funeral Home in Tunkhannock started serving local families after Ralph B. Sheldon and son Ralph B. Sheldon Jr. purchased the Ray Greenwood Funeral home in 1959. Thomas G. Kukuchka joined the firm in 1971. He graduated from The Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science in 1972 and in 1988 he and his wife June purchased the establishment now known as Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home, Inc. In 2003 Thomas' son Eric T. Kukuchka joined the firm after becoming a licensed funeral director. In 2016 Thomas added licensed funeral director, Louis J. Marcho to his firm, after he graduated from Northampton College.
