William Robert Trembath, 71, died March 21, 2013.
Born in Wilkes-Barre, Bill lived most of his younger years in Tunkhannock.
For most of his adult years, he resided at Selinsgrove Center, Selinsgrove, where he died unexpectedly in his sleep.
A true survivor, Bill was one of the first babies to survive the effects of parental RH incompatibility.
Although transfusions from many family friends in Tunkhannock and relatives in Wyoming Valley saved his life, medical knowledge of the time did not lead to the higher level of blood transfusions now given to allow normal development.
Despite his many infirmities, Bill loved life, enjoyed the company of family and friends and enjoyed the outdoors in person and through print and film.
His parents, the late Ruth Marcy Trembath and Hon. Robert Ware Trembath predeceased him.
He is survived by sister, Marcy Trembath Pitkin and husband Stephen of Stuart, Fla.; niece, Laura Pitkin Delany and spouse, Bill Delany of Jenkintown; nephew, Douglas A. Pitkin and wife Patricia of Washington, D.C.; and grandniece, Caroline Marcy Delany; and many cousins.
A memorial service and interment in Sunnyside Cemetery will be held this summer.
