William Nelson Pogson

William N. Pogson, 78, of Tunkhannock died at Regional Hospital of Scranton on November 7, 2018. He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years Nancy Hughes Pogson.

Born in Philadelphia on May 6, 1940 he was the son of the late William and Blanche Pogson.

Prior to his retirement he worked for 50 years with Carpenters Local 1856 now known as Local 158 out of Philadelphia.

Bill served as chairman of the board for the coffee group at Curry Doughnuts in Tunkhannock. He was an avid eagles fan, and enjoyed playing pitch on Friday night at Triton Hose Company.

In addition to his wife Bill is survived by his six children; Blanche DeVoll, Jane Jones, Elizabeth (Betsy) Cano, Virginia Ward, Douglas Hanlin, Sherry Hanlin, fourteen grandchildren, and seventeen great-grandchildren.
