William Forster

William Forster, 92, of Mehoopany passed away Sunday, January 15, 2023 at Highlands Healthcare Center, LaPorte. He was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Barbara Forster in November of 2022.

Born in New York, New York on November 22, 1930. He was the son of the late, Emil and Mary Forster.

He worked as a banker at Chase Manhattan Bank for 38 years. After his retirement he enjoyed moving to the country and gardening. He loved surf fishing on Long Island with his wife.

He is survived by his son, William Forster; daughters, Terri Poepperling and husband David, Susan Pond, Carol Mastellone and husband Tom, and MaryAnn Forster; 14 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Barbara Forster.

Family and friends are invited to attend William's funeral service which will be held on Friday January 20, at 11:00 AM from the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home, 73 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock, PA 18657. Interment will follow in Union Hill Cemetery, Mehoopany.

A viewing will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of service on Friday.
