William (Billy) Askew, 59, of Tunkhannock passed away Saturday, April 5, 2025 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center.
Born on October 15, 1965 in Somers Point, NJ, he is the son of Alice (Jennings) Robinson and his late father, Wesley Askew and step-father, Jay Robinson.
Billy was a 1984 graduate of Tunkhannock High School. He embarked on a successful career as a truck driver, spending many years driving a dump truck for Halliday Trucking Company.
He was an avid fan of NASCAR, often spending weekends cheering for his favorite drivers. He also enjoyed hunting and had a particular fascination with modified sports cars.
Billy's loyalty to his favorite sports teams was unwavering, and he was especially proud to be a dedicated Buffalo Bills fan. In addition, he had a great love of Mountain Dew.
He is survived by brothers, Wesley Askew, Jr., Harold Askew and wife Deborah, Jay Robinson, II; sisters, Amy Markovitz and husband Michael, Jessica Murphy, Jayme Swaditch; Billy's longtime companion, Jennifer Crispell; several nieces and nephews; several great-nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 11, 2025 at 11:00 AM from the Forkston Cemetery, Burgess Road, Forkston, PA 18629 with Rev. John Shaffer presiding.
