Wanda J. Montross, 74, of Tunkhannock passed away on Thursday September 30, 2021 at Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Dunmore. She is survived by her husband of 57 years Richard Montross.
Born in Scranton, PA on October 12, 1946 she was the daughter of the late Hiram and Evangeline McKennas Ford.
Wanda was a 1964 graduate of Tunkhannock Area High School and a lifelong member of The Nativity of The Blessed Virgin Mary Church. Wanda worked various jobs over the years, but her greatest source of pride was her family and friends.
Her Granddaughters, in particular, provided a great amount of joy as did her love of horses and dogs. Wanda will be fondly remembered for her cooking and baking and for her strength, selflessness, and compassion.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by sons, Brent of Tunkhannock and Scott and wife Rachel of Vancouver, WA; brothers, Robert Ford and wife Helen, Tom Ford and wife Donna; brother-in-law, John Kukucka; granddaughters, Jessica and Molly Montross.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Ruth Kukucka.
Family and friends are invited to attend Wanda’s Mass of Christian burial which will be held on Saturday October 9, 2021 at 11:00 AM from Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 99 E. Tioga St. Tunkhannock, PA 18657 with Rev. Patrick Albert presiding. Interment will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery, Tunkhannock.
A viewing will be held at the church from 9:00 AM until the time of service on Saturday.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the church in Wanda’s name.
