Thomas R. Zalewski, Sr. 74, of Tunkhannock passed away March 30, 2021 at Tyler Memorial Hospital. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Linda A. Mock Zalewski in 2016.
Born in Wilkes-Barre on May 11, 1946, he was the son of the late Harold and Maryon Harvey Grow of Tunkhannock and the late William and Jean Bullock Zalewski of Factoryville.
Tom enjoyed barbeques with his family, riding motorcycles, spending time outdoors, and working on anything mechanical. He had a brilliant mind and could find a way to fix anything.
He will be missed by all who knew him, especially his best friend “Punky”.
He is survived by his sons, Thomas, Jr. and wife Rosemarie, William and wife Karen; daughter, Patricia Taylor and Michael Biro; a sister-in-law, Charlotte Mock; eight grandchildren, Shawn, Quinn, Ryan, and Logan Zalewski, John and Randy Taylor, Raven Pedley, and Tanya Fenton; seven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ronald Zalewski.
Family and friends are invited to attend Tom’s funeral service which will be held on Saturday April 10, 2021 at the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home, Inc, 73 W. Tioga St. Tunkhannock, PA 18657. A viewing will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in Chapel Lawn Cemetery, Dallas.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Blue-Chip Farm Animal Refuge, Dallas, PA.
