Thomas E. Sands, of Dallas, died Wednesday, May 7, at the Allied Skilled Unit in Clarks Summit, Pa. from injuries suffered in a motor vehicle accident on January 11, 2008.
Born in Wilkes-Barre on February 10, 1964, he was the son of Robert and Dorothy Keithline Sands, of Dallas, Pa.
He was a 1982 graduate of Dallas High School and was employed by Carbon Sales in Wilkes-Barre as a filter media technician. He enjoyed darts, Nascar, football and hunting and fishing in the outdoors.
He is survived by his son, Adam Sands, of Centermoreland; a special friend, Sharon Evarts, of Dallas; brothers, David and wife, Sandra, of Falls; Ronnie and wife, Sheri, of Dallas; Stanley and wife, Alicia, of Falls; Robert and wife, Katie, of Laceyville; sisters, Rosemary Hallock and husband, Dennis, of Tunkhannock; Alice Barrett and husband, Paul, of West Wyoming; Bonnie Sands, of Conn.; Diane Sands, of Mount Pleasant, Pa.; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Jack Rehill at 11 a.m. from the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home Inc., 73 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock. Friends and family may call at the funeral home Friday evening from 7 to 9.
