Thomas L. Hummel

Thomas L. Hummel, Sr., 65, of Mehoopany, died on Wednesday at home. He was born in Wilkes-Barre on April 30, 1944, son of the late Hugh and Bessie Cragle Hummel. He worked as a Technician at Procter & Gamble prior to his retirement. He was preceded in death by daughters, Kathy Ann Hummel and Betty Kreidler, and by a brother, Lee Hummel. Surviving is his wife of 45 years, Rachael Hummel, two sons: Thomas Jr. and John Hummel both of Mehoopany, a daughter Helen Kelly also of Mehoopany, and one brother Harvey Hummel of Harvey's Lake. Funeral service will be held on Monday at 11:00 am from the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home Inc., 73 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock, with Pastor Lawrence Reed officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Shrine Park, Carverton. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 10:00 am to the time of the service.
