Theodore J. Roberts, 89, of Nicholson passed away Thursday, April 24, 2025 at the Embassy of Tunkhannock. He is preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Eleanor Roberts in 2023.
Born on August 20, 1935 in Montrose, PA, he is the son of the late Fredrick and Voris (Gleason) Roberts.
Ted was a lifelong trucker and was known by many as "Wooley Bulley".
One of his proudest moments was in 1973 when his diamond Reo truck known as "The King of Diamond" was runner up for the truck of the month in Overdrive magazine, a nationwide publication.
Ted and Eleanor enjoyed many years camping at Shore Forest Campground in Hop Bottom, PA.
He is survived by his children, Keith Roberts of Montrose, Cindy Roberts (Dan) of Tunkhannock, Ted Roberts (Jennifer) of Nicholson, Cinda Novitch (Mark) of Nicholson, Linda Castorina (Larry) of Nicholson; brothers, Garth Roberts of Canada, Donald Roberts of Montrose; sister-in-law, Joan Roberts of Montrose; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife, he is preceded in death by sisters, Shirley Haggerty and Kay Johnson; brother, Gerald Roberts.
The family would like to extend a thank you to the Embassy of Tunkhannock for the wonderful care they provided to Ted.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2025 at 2:00 PM at the home of Mark and Cinda Novitch, Nicholson.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Ted's memory to the Nicholson Fire Co., PO Box 425 Nicholson, PA 18446.
