Theodore D. Brown (Ted), age 40, of Atlanta, Georgia, passed away unexpectedly on July 16, 2023.
Ted was born on July 14, 1983, to surviving parents, Janet and Philip Brown in Tunkhannock, Pennsylvania. He was a 2001 graduate of Tunkhannock High School.
Ted grew up on Brown Hill Farms and enjoyed riding his "quads" (four wheelers) and dirt bikes in his spare time. From a young age, he enjoyed tinkering with any tool he could find in the machine shop and was known to make the speed of any motor he could get his hands on go just a little bit faster. Prior to moving to Atlanta, Ted owned a successful logging business, T&B Logging. He then went on to make a profession out of and was known for his expertise in auto body repair. Everyone who met Ted immediately loved him. He had a killer smile and could make anyone laugh. He was incredibly charming, a master conversationalist, and made instant friends wherever he went.
In addition to his parents, Ted is survived by his wife, Lily; stepdaughter, Shiya; stepson, Yubin; and faithful dog companion, Gracie. Additionally, Ted's other immediate surviving family members include: Scott (brother) & Michele Brown of Tunkhannock; Jacob Brown (nephew) & fiancé, Kasey Warner, of Tunkhannock; Karen (sister) & Rob Harmer of Hop Bottom; Holly (sister), Eddie, & Carter/Carmen (nephew/niece) Overdyke of Atlanta.
Ted declared that he was a follower of Christ and was baptized in July of 2017. We are confident that Jesus was not only waiting for him but greeted him with open arms.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the Brown family.
Arrangements and care entrusted to Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home, 73 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock, PA 18657.
Donations can be made to the charity of your choice, in honor of Ted.
