Stephanie E. Hallock, 50, of Tunkhannock passed away Thursday, June 29, 2023 at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
Born on March 28, 1973, she is the daughter of the late Nancy and Eugene Gorko.
She was a 1991 graduate of Tunkhannock High School. She was a member of the Tunkhannock United Methodist Church and St. Mary's of the Lake.
Stephanie dedicated many years to serving others through her work. For eight years, from 1992 to 2000, she worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Allied Services. Her compassionate care and dedication touched the lives of countless individuals during her tenure. Following her time at Allied Services, Stephanie joined Griffin Auto Sales as an auto detailer until 2019. She approached her work diligently and took pride in providing exceptional service to customers.
While Stephanie was diligent and focused in her professional life, she had a vibrant personality that left a lasting impression on those who knew her. She was known for being brutally honest, never shying away from speaking her mind. This trait showcased her strong character and genuine nature. Despite her stubbornness at times, she possessed a caring heart that extended to both family and friends.
Outside of work, Stephanie found great joy in various hobbies and interests.
Gardening allowed her to nurture beautiful flowers and create serene outdoor spaces. Camping provided an escape into nature where she could relax and appreciate the simple joys of life. Stephanie cherished moments spent with her grandkids, creating lasting memories filled with love and laughter. The beach held a special place in her heart as she reveled in the peacefulness of the waves crashing against the shore. Additionally, Stephanie took great pride in keeping a clean and orderly home, embracing the role of a dedicated homemaker.
She is survived by husband, Larry Hallock; daughters, Jennifer Burridge (Ash Burridge), Autumn Weber; sons, Carl Weber (Taylor Weber), Dakota Hallock, Larry Hallock II (Maurisa); brothers, Albert Purdy, Gene Gorko, Jr., Roger Purdy; granddaughter, Carlee Smith; grandsons, Simpson Burridge, Henry Weber, Larry Hallock III, Hunter Hallock; aunt, Maryann Barni (Richard Barni); mother-in-law, Betty Hallock.
She is preceded in death by her first husband, Carl Weber.
Stephanie's legacy will forever remain in the hearts of all those who knew her. Her unwavering honesty, stubbornness, and caring nature have left an indelible mark on the community. As we bid her farewell, let us remember her for the incredible woman she was - a loving mother, doting grandmother, dedicated professional, and a dear friend. May her soul find eternal peace, and may her memory be a source of inspiration for us all.
Family and friends are invited to attend Stephanie's funeral service which will be held on Thursday July 6, 2023 at 11:00 AM from the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home, 73 W. Tioga St. Tunkhannock, PA 18657 with Reverend Tenny Rupnick presiding. Interment will follow in Pieta Cemetery, Tunkhannock.
A viewing will be held from 10:00AM until the time of service on Thursday.
