Sharon E. Harvey

Sharon E. Harvey 57, of Tunkhannock died on Tuesday at Geisinger South Hospital in Wilkes-Barre. She was born in Meshoppen, on April 27, 1956, daughter of the late Almon and Olive Dymond Harvey. She was a 1974 graduate of the Tunkhannock High School. She worked as a Clerk at Wyoming County Public Assistance for fourteen years, and at the Wyoming County Children and Youth for over 20 years. Sharon loved making trips to the casino, working around her house, gardening, and she especially enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by brothers Donald, Harry, Earl, William and Sisters Joan, Connie Sherwood, Shirley Hallock, Charlotte, Alberta Belcher and Leena “Faye” Oakes who passed away Saturday February 22. Surviving are four brothers: Ralph Harvey of Meshoppen, Selim "Sam" and Sandy Harvey of Dallas, Albert and Allison Harvey of Harvey’s Lake, James and Phillis Harvey of Brockville, four sisters: Anna Wandell of Durhamville, NY, Betty Lou and Jack Vaow of Meshoppen, Donna Shoemaker of Meshoppen, and Judy Harvey of Tunkhannock. Funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 am from the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home Inc., 73 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock, with the Pastor Gary Myers of the Meshoppen Biblical Baptist Church.
