Sarah E. Carichner

Sarah E. Carichner 83, of Mile Road Tunkhannock died at her home on Sunday May 26th, she was born in Noxen on April 8, 1930, daughter of the late Earle and Mildred Foote Ayers. She was a graduate of Tunkhannock High School class of 1948. For several years she was employed as wrapper in Daytona Mills. Sarah enjoyed the outdoors working in her garden and flowers and especially the time she spent with her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Daniel V. Carichner, brothers Raymond, and Robert Ayers, grandson Matthew Carichner. Surviving are sons, Dean, Donald and Dave Carichner all of Tunkhannock, brother Dr. Earle Ayers, of Mehoopany, sister Alice Steiner, of Tunkhannock 5 Grandchildren, Joseph, Dana, Karl, Kurtis and Olivia Carichner. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday evening at 7 pm from the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home Inc., 73 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock with the Rev. Lori Robinson.
