Sara Weber

Sara Elizabeth Weber 88, formerly of Tunkhannock, passed away on August 22, 2012 in Bridgewater, NJ after waging a courageous battle with cancer. Sara was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama on August 12, 1924 daughter of the late L.G. and Myrtice Sutton Simpson Sara will be remembered as a devoted mother and great friend whose kindness, generosity and intelligence inspired all those around her. She will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her longtime companion Howard “Howie” Johnston. Surviving is a son Robert Weber of New York, NY, daughter Linda Tylka of Gainesville, VA., brother L. G. Simpson of Atlanta, Ga. Seven grandchildren Stephanie, Melanie, Sandra, Stacey, Christine, Greg and Alex, and six great-grandchildren, Joseph, Daniel, Laura, Sara, Kayla and Krista. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 1pm. from the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home Inc., 73 W. Tioga St. Tunkhannock. Interment will be in Sunnyside, Cemetery, Tunkhannock.
