Ruth French, 101, of Lake Winola went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, January 23, 2025 at home. She is preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, Kenneth French in 1977.
Born on September 29, 1923 in Lake Winola, she is the daughter of the late Leon and Clara (Odell) Stevens.
Ruth was a proud 1941 graduate of Falls Overfield.
A dedicated member of the Pleasant View Baptist Church, Ruth's commitment to her faith was evident in her active participation in church activities. She grew up in the Lake Winola United Methodist Church, where she developed a lifelong connection to her community. Ruth served selflessly, volunteering her time and talents to uplift others, reinforcing the values of kindness and generosity that she held dear.
Ruth also had a profound passion for reading the Bible, and she exemplified what it meant to be a prayer warrior, uplifting many through her unwavering faith.
Ruth cherished her moments spent observing the beauty of nature. She loved to watch the birds and deer from her window. She also took great pleasure in crocheting and completing puzzles.
She is survived by daughter, Elaine French; son, Kenneth French (Maggie); grandchildren, Brandon French (Pam), Brea French-Tomlin (TJ); great-grandchildren, Alyza Vega, Thea Osborne (Chase), and Emma French; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by brother, Robert Stevens; sister, Margaret Kresge.
Funeral services will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Ruth's name to Pleasant View Baptist Church, 245 Orchard Dr W, Falls, PA 18615.
