Roger Canfield IV

Roger (Squeak) Dale Canfield IV, age 12, of 456 Farr Rd., Mehoopany, PA passed away from injuries sustained as result of an accident while riding on a side by side ATV on Monday afternoon, July 25, 2011 in Windham twp., Wyoming County, PA. He was born October 30, 1998 in Sayre PA, the son of Roger Dale and Sylvia Marie Parks Canfield Jr. Roger would have been entering the seventh grade this fall as a student at the Tunkhannock Area Middle School. Roger enjoyed hunting with his Dad and Grandpa (Roger Canfield Sr.). He loved fishing and camping at the family’s yearly trip to Lake Ontario. He also enjoyed four wheeling around his home. He took great pleasure in taking family trips to Lancaster and especially eating at the Shady Maple. He liked riding his bike, skateboarding, and playing video games. He especially enjoyed teasing his sisters and at school he liked being surrounded with his friends. In addition to his parents, Roger is survived by his siblings Christina M. Canfield of Factoryville, Holly A Milliron of Laceyville, Roger D. Canfield III of Scranton, Shawn W. Caines of Tunkhannock and Natasha M. Canfield, Sandra M. Canfield, and Brigette M. Canfield all of Mehoopany. His paternal grandparents Roger and Marion Canfield Sr. of Mehoopany,and his maternal grandparents Harold and Ruth Parks of Laceyville,and Pete and Gloria Ayers of Johnson City, NY. His paternal great-grandmother Mrs. Nellie Murphy of Beaumont. His niece Aubrey Milliron of Laceyville, a nephew Holden Canfield of Factoryville, and twin nephews Randy and Nicholas Manzer of Factoryville. Roger also had many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother Sandra Lou Murphy Canfield who passed away on May 22, 1985. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 29, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home 73 W. Tioga St. Tunkhannock, with Rev. Charles Bishop of the Transue Community Church officiating. Interment will be in the Vaughn Cemetery in Mehoopany. Family and friends may call at the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home on Thursday evening, July 28, 2011 from 5:00-8:00 PM. Arrangements by Sheldon Funeral Homes, Main St. Laceyville, PA.
