Robert W. Nast of Maple Lane, Tunkhannock, died Friday in Mercy Tyler Hospital, Tunkhannock. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Marlene Riesenbeck Nast.
He was born in New York City on Feb. 17, 1929, son of the late Robert A. and Edith Lundy Nast. Bob was a 1947 graduate of Tenafly High School, Tenafly, N.J., and received a bachelor of science degree from Bethany College. He also attended Columbia University. He was employed at Clarks State Summit Hospital for more than 30 years, serving as coordinator of patient activities. Bob was an active member of the Tunkhannock Baptist Church and enjoyed being with his family and friends.
Also surviving are three sons, Robert "Burley" and wife, Judy Nast, Factoryville; Richard and wife, Pinky Nast, Tunkhannock; and William and wife, Karen Nast, Hunlock Creek; a daughter, Holly Serocki, Sellersville; six grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the Tunkhannock Baptist Church, to be officiated by the Rev. Allen Mickle, pastor. Interment will be in Sunnyside Cemetery, Tunkhannock. Friends may call at the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home Inc., 73 W.
