Robert Anderson, 75, of Tunkhannock passed away unexpectedly at home on Tuesday, September 19, 2023. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Ann (Massaker) Anderson.

Born on September 9, 1948 in Port Washington, NY, he is the son of the late John and Louise (Blumburg) Anderson.

Bob was a 1966 graduate of Tunkhannock High School. He began his professional career at Procter & Gamble where he dedicated many years until 1993. His commitment and work ethic were evident during his time with the company.

In 1988, Bob seized the opportunity to embark on a new venture by opening The New Shoe Store. He embraced challenges and thrived as a small business owner. Bob deeply cared about his customers and made sure to give back whenever possible. Through his business, he became a pillar of support for his community, always ready to lend a helping hand.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Bob had a deep love for sports. He generously volunteered his time coaching teener league baseball and softball teams, positively impacting countless young athletes' lives. An avid supporter of the Eagles and Penn State teams, Bob's enthusiasm for sports was infectious.

Bob had a passion for travel that took him to various destinations across the globe. He particularly cherished going on cruises and exploring the breathtaking landscapes of Alaska and the Caribbean. Alongside his love for travel, Bob frequently visited Florida where he found joy in warm weather and delightful adventures.

One of Bob's greatest joys in life was spending time with his beloved grandkids. Their laughter and innocent presence brought immense happiness to his heart. He cherished every moment shared with them and created beautiful memories that will forever live on in their hearts.

Bob's philanthropic endeavors were equally noteworthy. A compassionate soul at heart, he volunteered his time generously and donated to numerous causes close to his heart. Two organizations that stood out were his unwavering support for Cops for Kids Toy Drive and the local police departments.

Bob's warm personality and friendly nature made him a beloved figure in the lives of many. He will be remembered for his infectious smile and willingness to help others. His legacy will continue to inspire others to follow their dreams, nurture their communities, and spread kindness wherever they go.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by son, Robert Anderson and companion Renee Spindler; daughter, Mauri Conner and husband Kevin; brothers, John Anderson, David Anderson and wife Lois, James Anderson and wife Pricilla; grandchildren, Graham, Cali, Michaela Conner, Anola and Nina Anderson, Robert Faux and wife Larissa, Chase Henderson and wife Melissa; great granddaughter, Tara Faux; several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by brothers, Jack, John, Michael, William, Phillip; sisters, Margie, Martha, Patricia.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, September 25, 2023 from 4:00-6:00PM from the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home, 73 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock, PA 18657. Interment will be held privately at Sunnyside Cemetery, Tunkhannock.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Pennsylvania Wounded Warriors Inc., 1117 Country Club Rd., Camp Hill, PA 17011 or the Tunkhannock Police Memorial Statue Fund, FNB of PA, 74 E. Tioga St., Tunkhannock, PA 18657.
