Richard Wagner, 71, of Meshoppen passed away Saturday, February 22, 2025 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center. He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Vicky (Phillips) Wagner.

Born on September 26, 1953 in Madison, WI, he is the son of the late Donald and Pearl Wagner.

He attended Wallenpaupack High School. Richard proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps.

Richard made a significant impact through his career as a police officer in Honesdale, where he tirelessly worked to ensure the safety and well-being of those around him. He also embraced a career as a truck driver.

He was an avid fisherman and hunter, cherishing the moments spent outdoors. Additionally, Richard was a devoted member of the New Hope Ministry in South Auburn.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters, Makayla Wagner, Danica Wagner, Caitlyn Wagner, Justina Shay, Jahnay Shay; stepmother, Arlene Wagner; brother, Donald Wagner, Jr. and wife Laurie; sister, Shirley Piccotti and husband John; grandson, Vincenzo Cicconi; nieces, Morgan Wagner, Cassara Wagner, Dannielle Kowaleski, Amanda Tuttle, Theresa Connelly, Michelle Matthews; 2 great-nieces; 1 great-nephew.

He is preceded in death by sister, Diane Daurora.

Funeral services will be held at a later date.
