Rhonda Kinney

Rhonda Raylean (Hallock) Kinney, 69, of Tunkhannock passed away Friday, December 13, 2024 at Endless Mountain Health Systems, Monrose.

Born in Meshoppen on April 26, 1955, she is the daughter of the late Clarence and Margaret (Henry) Hallock; stepmother, Patricia Allen.

She attended Elk Lake High School. Rhonda dedicated many years of her working life to dietary services at Carpenter Care Center, where she was known for her commitment to her job and the warmth, she brought to those around her.

She was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Eagles, often cheering them on with enthusiasm. Her love for playing bingo and visiting casinos provided her with much fun and excitement. Above all, Rhonda cherished the moments spent with her children and grandchildren, who were truly the light of her life. She made it a priority to attend football, baseball, softball, dance, and cheer events, supporting each of them with unwavering love and enthusiasm.

She is survived by her children, Danielle and Matt Smith of Factoryville, Scott and Michelle Kinney of Tunkhannock; grandchildren, Matthew Smith, Jr., Tucker and Korie Kinney; sisters, Cynthia and Ken Kinney, Candie Drake; Sandy Hallock, Vickie Shea, Kimberly Svec; stepsisters, Bobbie Jo Pratt, Connie Murphy, Carol Sherwood; brothers, Dave Stacy and Jody Hallock; good friend, Norm Johnson; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her former husband, Daniel T. Kinney; son, Daniel T. Kinney II; brother, Mike Hallock; sister, Debbie Hallock Sherwood.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, December 19, 2024 at 10:00 AM from Sunnyside Cemetery, 152 Sunnyside Rd., Tunkhannock, PA 18657. There will be a small family gathering held after the service at the Susquehanna Apartments.
