Raymond R. Dobrosielski, 86, of Springville passed away Thursday, December 5, 2024, at home. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Margaret (Jurista) Dobrosielski.
Born on September 11, 1938, in Springville, he is the son of the late Edmond and Stella (Grocki) Dobrosielski.
He was a 1956 graduate of Springville High School. Raymond was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. He served from 1956-1960 as a nuclear weapons mechanic.
Upon returning home, he began his distinguished career as a Pennsylvania State Trooper, serving with distinction from 1962 until his retirement in 1987. His career also included roles as a Deputy Game Warden and Wyoming County Detective, in addition to his work as a security consultant for Procter and Gamble.
Raymond was passionate about nature and the great outdoors. He found joy in skiing, hiking, fishing, and hunting. His love for nature was beautifully expressed through his hobby of carving birds and wildlife from wood.
Additionally, he was a talented photographer and took great care of his property and lawn. He was also a devoted member of Holy Name of Mary Church in Montrose.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by stepchildren, Debbie Kintner and Danny Dobrosielski; brothers, Edward and Richard Dobrosielski; sister, Dorothy Hendershot; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held privately with a Mass of Christian Burial at the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, Tunkhannock. Interment with Pennsylvania State Police Ceremonial Unit and the United States Air Force will be held at Pieta Cemetery, Tunkhannock.
