Paul Yuhas, 84, of Tunkhannock passed away Friday, February 21, 2025 at Geisinger Community Medical Center, Scranton. He is survived by his companion of 33 years, Nancy Watson.
Born on November 21, 1940, in Pittson, he is the son of the late Andrew and Veronica (Shimko) Yuhas.
He was a proud graduate of Duryea High School. Paul served his country honorably in the Army during the Vietnam Era. As a member of the 101st Airborne Paratroopers, he completed more than 149 jumps, a testament to his courage and dedication to his service.
Paul spent much of his career as a truck driver, often traveling to Florida twice a week alongside his companion.
His love for sports was evident, particularly in his enjoyment of watching his grandsons play baseball and passionately supporting his favorite football team, the Philadelphia Eagles. His coaching experience in both baseball and football provided him with joyful moments.
Paul cherished spending time with his dogs. Additionally, he was a cherished member of the Bowmans Creek Free Methodist Church.
He is survived by son, Paul Yuhas; daughter, Laura Watson; step-daughter, Pamela Zackus and husband Benjamin; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
As per Paul's wishes there will be no funeral services.
