Norman Dymond of Schooley Ave., Exeter, died Tuesday, March 26th in the Kingston Commons, Kingston. He was born on February 8, 1936 son of the late Fred E. and Marion B. Cook Dymond.
Norman attended Tunkhannock High School and early in his career was employed by the Gunite Corporation. He was an accomplished masonry contractor and his work can be witnessed in the beautifully laid stone at the Nativity BVM Catholic Church, Tunkhannock, the Tunkhannock High School and numerous other locations in Wyoming and Luzerne counties. Norman was a long time resident of Vernon. He was a member of the Franklin Township Fire Department.
Norm married Eleanor L. Ray on September 3, 1955 and later divorced. He married Beverly Harrison on June 13, 1985.
Norman was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Fred Dymond Jr., and sister-in-law Betty Montross Dymond.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly and children; Patricia (Curtis) Peterson, Salt Lake City, UT, Eleanor (Dan) Ketcham, Bountiful, UT, Bradley (Alison) Dymond, South Jordan, UT, Margaret (Layne) Batty, Payson, UT, Jeanette Jorgensen, Murray, UT, David (Tracie) Dymond, Moroni, UT, Timothy (Marianne) Dymond, Edmond, OK, Daniel (Jennifer) Dymond, Salt Lake City, UT, Benjamin (Jacelyn) Dymond, Salt Lake City, UT, Donald (Norma) Cooper, Exeter, PA, Gary (Wendy) Cooper, Exeter, PA, Douglas (Julie) Cooper, Exeter Township, Jeffery Cooper, Edwardsville, PA James (Trudy) Cooper, Danville, PA; brothers Carleton E. Dymond Falls, PA and Russell L. Dymond, Centermoreland, PA, as well as 48 grandchildren and 45 great-grandchildren.
Norman will always be remembered for his honesty, kindness, generosity, patience and sense of humor.
Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Tuesday April 2nd from the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home, 73 W. Tioga St. Tunkhannock. Friends may call at the funeral home from 12 pm until the time of the service.
