Norma Ahlbrandt

Norma Jean Ahlbrandt, 77, of Mehoopany was called home on Tuesday, August 27, 2024. She is preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Gerald Ahlbrandt in 2006.

Born on January 19, 1947 in Tuscarora Township, PA, she is the daughter of the late Francis and Jeanette (Salsman) Brotzman.

Norma's career began at Tyler Hospital in Meshoppen, where she made a positive impact on countless lives. After her time at the hospital, she continued to serve her community by working at the Mehoopany Library.

She found great joy in crafting, particularly in working with wood and stained glass. Norma also enjoyed solving puzzles and engaging in adult coloring books.

She is survived by daughters, Norma Remetz, Christine Parrish and husband Jessee; sister, Sue Teeter; brother, Ray Brotzman; grandsons, Brent and Brandon Parrish; great-granddaughter, Carly Parrish.

In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by brothers, Dennis, Randy, Dale, and Alan Brotzman.

It is with many thanks and endless gratitude that we ask that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Hospice of the Sacred Heart Center, 30 E.D. Preate Drive, Suite 108, Moosic, PA, whose hospice care helped Norma transition home with peace and dignity.

Funeral services will be held privately. Interment will be held in Vaughn Cemetery, Mehoopany.
