Nancy Kintner

Nancy Lou Kintner, 90, of Forkston, passed away surrounded by family and friends on Monday, September 23, 2024 at Allied Hospice Center in Wilkes Barre.

Born August 28, 1934 in Mehoopany, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Lucy (Bloom) Kintner.

She was a graduate of Tunkhannock Area High School, class of 1952. She continued her education, attending Lackawanna Business School.

Nancy dedicated 60 years to her father's business, Fred J. Kintner Insurance, and attained her Real Estate license and her Brokers License. She owned Kintner Realty for 40 years, assisting many area residents in purchasing their homes and businesses.

She devoted much of her time to her community, serving as a member and former President of the Business and Professional Women's Club, while also being active in various other business and professional associations.

She is survived by her daughter, Dianne Thomas Corson; her sons Stephen Thomas (Michelle), Benjamin Thomas (Debra), and Terry Thomas (Karen); stepdaughter Tammy Balewski (Joe). Nancy was also blessed to have twelve grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren and was loved by many nieces, nephews, cousins and great friends.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Mary Tinna (Tim) and brother Fred J. Kintner, Jr (Jeanne).

Family and friends are invited to attend Nancy's funeral service which will be held on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at 10:00 AM from the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home, 73 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock, PA 18657 with Reverend Rick Womer officiating. Interment will follow in Vaughn Cemetery, Mehoopany.

A viewing will be held on Monday, September 30, 2024 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
