Michael Donahue

Michael Dean Donahue, 67, of Rock Glen, PA passed away peacefully Friday morning, April 12, 2024 at Lehigh Valley Medical Center in the arms of his love and companion Deborah Snyder.

He was born on January 22, 1957 to Charles and Alberta Donahue of Mehoopany, Wyoming County and was preceded in death by his wife Leslie Donahue and his sister Peg Comstock.

Michael worked in human services for over 40 years in drug and alcohol treatment and counseling. He led and coordinated several initiatives across the state in efforts to improve care and community outreach, steadfastly believing that improving care management and support options for sufferers of addiction will save lives. Michael came from a large family and would live by the tenants he was taught - to build a loving family of his own and lead a purpose driven life. Michael was driven by an ongoing desire to share his testimony and lead others to Jesus.

He survived by his siblings Charles Donahue, Nancy Kline, John Donahue, Patricia Knipper, Robert Donahue, Christopher Donahue, and Joy Molnar, as well as by his four children Michael Dylan Donahue of San Diego, CA, Nathan (wife Julie) Donahue of Sugarloaf, Steven (wife Taryn) Donahue of Mechanicsburg, and Keri (husband Leonard) Branz of Nescopeck; grandchildren, Nathan Robert Donahue, Ashley Donahue, Noah Donahue, Lily Branz and James Branz.

Family and friends are invited to attend Michael's funeral services which will be held on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at 12:00PM from the Sheldon Kukuchka Funeral Home, 73 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock, PA 18657 with Pastor Todd Comstock presiding. Interment will follow in Vaughn Cemetery, Mehoopany.

A viewing will be held from 10:00AM until the time of service on Wednesday.
