Mary M. Baldo

Mary M. Baldo of Maple Lane Tunkhannock died Sunday in Kindred Hospital Wyoming Valley. She was born in West Wyoming on June 18, 1930 daughter of the late Edward and Carmella DeMarko Furner. Mary was a 1947 graduate of West Wyoming High School. Prior to her retirement she was employed as a cafeteria worker in the Tunkhannock Area School District. She was a member of the Church of the Nativity BVM in Tunkhannock. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and enjoyed attending all of her children and grand children’s sporting events. Mary was preceded in death by her husband Salvatore J. Baldo Sr. on September 24, 2005, brothers Joseph and Paul Furner and a sister Susan Pacovsky. Surviving are sons Salvatore “Sal” Baldo of Tunkhannock, Ronald Baldo of Elizabeth, Colorado, Anthony Baldo of Laflin, daughters Linda Porter of Harleysville, Catherine Voda of Falls, brother Sam Furner of Springfield, NJ, 11 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 9:30 am from the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home Inc., 73 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock with mass of Christian Burial at the Church of the Nativity BVM in Tunkhannock at 10 am. Interment will be in Pieta Cemetery, Tunkhannock.
