Marcia A. Platts

Marcia A. Platts of Mehoopany died Thursday January 9, 2014 at Tyler Memorial Hospital in Tunkhannock. She was born in Meshoppen on October 30, 1949 daughter of the late Stuart and Carmen Green Milnes. She was a graduate of North East Bradford class of 1967, and attended Brandywine and Corning Colleges. Marcia lived in McLaren Vale, South Australia for 30 years working as an Administrator for a medical related research program for much of the time. Since returning to the United States in 2004, she worked at Tyler Memorial Hospital in several positions. Most recently, she was employed by the WIC program as a Program Assistant. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brothers Carl and Eugene Milnes and a nephew Greg Milnes. Surviving is a son Jason and wife Erin, of Tunkhannock, grandson Ryan and brothers Paul and Thomas Milnes, also of Tunkhannock . A Memorial Service was held at The Dille Parish United Church of Christ in LaRaysville with the Rev. Tom Burlington presiding. Interment was in Neath Cemetery, Bradford County.
