Louise J. DeLeo

Louise J. DeLeo Louise J. DeLeo, 87 of Lake Winola passed away peacefully on March 6 at Moses Taylor Hospital in Scranton. She was preceded in death by her husband of 31 years Anthony P. DeLeo. She was born on April 2, 1926 in Scranton daughter of the late Anthony and Bridgetta Apostalico Berardelli. Louise graduated from Scranton Technical High School in 1944. She was a housewife up until the age of 51 and then entered into Penn State University, Dunmore, along with her son and daughter in law to receive her associate degree in business administration in 1980. She proudly worked up until the age of 85 at Green Thumb and Area Agency for the Aging as a job placement specialist. Mrs. DeLeo was a founding member of the Alter and Rosary Society at the St Mary of the Church in Lake Winola. Louise mostly enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her 6 grandsons, 2 granddaughters and her great granddaughter. She loved to cook, shop, travel, play cards, attend Broadway shows and be surrounded by friends and family. She was a very loving and caring person and will be deeply missed by many. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Grace Fresco. She is survived by her sons: Anthony, Tunkhannock: Nicholas and wife Donna, Rochester, NY: Louis and wife Cindy, Lake Winola: Robert and wife Kelly, Pittston and Son-In-Law: James Fresco, Waverly. Grandchildren: Barbara, Tony, Corey, Jimmy, Johnny, Danny, David and Erin. Great Granddaughter, Ava. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday, March 11th from St. Mary of the Lake Church at 10:00 AM. Family and friends are asked to go directly to the church. Interment will in in Pieta Cemetery Tunkhannock. Friends and family may call at the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Inc. 73 West Tioga St. Tunkhannock on Monday evening from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
