Lorie Kitchnefsky

Lorie A. Kitchnefsky, 59, of Falls passed away Thursday, January 2, 2025 at Endless Mountain Health Systems, Montrose. She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Dale Kitchnefsky.

Born on June 2, 1965 in Tunkhannock, she is the daughter of the late Larry and Betty (Kinney) Hallock.

She attended Lackawanna Trail High School. Lorie was a dedicated caregiver, serving in multiple roles throughout her life with compassion and commitment. She worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Carpenter Care for several years, where her passion for helping others shone brightly. In addition, she dedicated over 18 years as a custodian at the Tunkhannock Area School District.

Lorie cherished her time spent with family and friends. She was known for her warm heart and her joy in helping and caring for everyone she met. Whether it was through her love for fishing and picnics or her passion for crafting and baking, Lorie created moments of happiness that will forever be remembered.

Additionally, she was a proud member of the Lake Winola United Methodist Church.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by son, Dale Kitchnefsky, Jr.; daughters, Kecia Magdian, Angelia Richards and husband Brian; sister, Pamela Davis; brother, Larry Hallock; grandchildren, Kadin, William, Grace Magdin, Daegan and Coburn Richards.

Family and friends are invited to attend Lorie's funeral services which will be held on Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at 11:00 AM from the Lake Winola United Methodist Church, 326 Maple Drive, Dalton, PA 18414 with Pastor Robin Filmore presiding. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Lake Winola.

A viewing will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of service on Wednesday.
