Lewis E. Wikoski, 84, of Falls died on Monday, December 16th at Geisinger CMC in Scranton. Born in Tunkhannock, on April 7, 1929, he was the son of the late Walter and Bridget Cebalski Wikoski.
Lewis proudly served as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was discharged after a 4 year enlistment. He then was employed as a welder in the Heintz Manufacturing Co and the ITE in Philadelphia, PA. Moving to Wyoming County in 1965 he worked as a Millwright out of Scranton Carpenters Local 261. After retirement in 1994 he was self-employed in his own stone quarry in Falls, PA until he became ill in 2007.
He was preceded in death by brothers Alex, Walter, Edmund, and Chester Wikoski and sisters Beatrice Rice, Helen Miller, Sophie Gentile, Anna Moore and Rosemary Mikulski.
Lewis is survived by his wife of 56 years, Francis Schooley Wikoski; daughters, Vicki Ross, Natalee and husband Joseph Romanovski, and Anna Wikoski; grandsons Dennis Robinson and wife Tommie, Isaac Nichols and wife Stephanie; granddaughter Nicole Robinson and four great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday December 20th at 10:00 am from the Church Of The Nativity BVM, 99 E. Tioga St. Tunkhannock. Interment will be in Sunnyside Cemetery, Tunkhannock. Friends and family may call at the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home, 73 W. Tioga St. Tunkhannock on Friday morning from 8:30 9:30 am.
