Leland Robert Riker

Leland Robert Riker, 80 of Tunkhannock died Saturday at Tyler Memorial Hospital in Tunkhannock. Lee was born in Scranton on June 13, 1931 son of the late Leland J. and Beulah E. Trine Riker. Lee was a graduate of Hartford High School class of 1949 and was an Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict serving with the Signal Corp. He was employed by Union Carbide in Niagara Falls, NY then retired from Sire Power in Tunkhannock after 34 years of service. He was a member of the Eaton Baptist Church. Lee was preceded in death by sisters Judy Baker Rosser and Ruth Henry. Surviving is his wife of 56 years Marjorie Steele Riker, sons Leland G. and wife Karen of Tunkhannock, David and wife Jill of Federal Way, WA., daughter Patti Lou Riker and husband William Schutte III of Afton, Va. , three grandchildren Crystal Meyers and husband Roger, Lee Ann and LuAnn Riker and one great granddaughter Winter Meyers. Brother, Raymond Riker and wife Shelby of Montrose, Sister Jean and husband Ronald Carter of Dimock and brother in law Ralph Henry of South Montrose. A memorial service will be held on Saturday October 1 at 3 pm from the Eaton Baptist Church with Pastor Brian Hill. Interment will be in Orchid Cemetery, Noxen at a later date. Friends may call at the Church on Saturday from 1 pm until time of service.
