Kenneth Lee Smith of Jacksonville, Fla., formerly of Tunkhannock and Scranton, died Friday in Community Hospice-Morris Center, Jacksonville.
Ken was born in Tunkhannock on Nov. 5, 1960, son of Thomas Severcool, Tunkhannock, and the late Barbara Vaow Severcool. He was a graduate of Tunkhannock High School and had been employed at Keystone Junior College, LaPlume. Later, he was the owner and operator of Down to Earth Landscaping in Scranton. Ken and Patrick Target, Ken's loving partner of 15 years, relocated to Jacksonville, in 2004.
He died surrounded by his loving family.
Also surviving are two brothers, Michael Smith, Tunkhannock; and Jeffery Smith, Madison, Ga.; a sister, Cynthia O'Malley, Jacksonville; seven nieces and nephews; 13 grandnieces and grandnephews; and his beloved cats, Inky and Abby.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. from the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home Inc., 73 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock, with Rev. Lori Robinson of the Eatonville United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Forkston Cemetery.
