Judith Carol (Judy) Wetherbee of Northmoreland Township passed away suddenly at home on Monday evening October 1st. Formerly of Melrose Park she was born on December 5, 1944 daughter of the late Julius Herman and Hilda Mae Stewart Wendler. Judy was the wife of retired Cheltenham Township Police Detective Sergeant Fred Wetherbee. Judy was a 1963 graduate of Olney High School in Philadelphia and for the past several years served as a receptionist in the athletic and recreational building of the Penn State Wilkes-Barre Campus. She was devoted to her family and her church family at the Community Bible Church in Tunkhannock. She was a dedicated caregiver to her husband Fred through several serious medical trials. Judy was predeceased by her brother James Wendler. In addition to her husband, she leaves her three loving children Fred III and wife Anna of Woodland CA,, Scott and wife Rhonda of Tunkhannock and daughter Julie and husband Jason Weilage of Alburtis PA. A sister Virginia and husband Chester Guillory of Chalfont. grandchildren James, Alison, Olivia, and Lucy. Step grandchildren Karlie and Jennifer Bulford. Funeral services will be held on Friday Oct 5th at 11 am from the Community Bible Church in Tunkhannock with Pastor David Stuckey officiating. Interment will be in Sunnyside Cemetery Tunkhannock. Friends may call on Thursday evening at the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home, 73 W. Tioga St. Tunkhannock, from 7 – 9 pm.
