John P. Schlacter

John P. Schlacter of Highland Dr. Dalton, formerly of Allentown, died at his residence on Sunday July 18th. He was born in Allentown PA on February 1, 1947, son of the late John Schlacter and Josephine Tomko Schlacter Toth. He was a United States Marine Corps veteran serving 3 tours of duty in Vietnam. Prior to his retirement he was employed as a laborer in various jobs in the Allentown and Wyoming County Area. He was preceded in death by a step son, John Bonczkiewicz. Surviving is his wife of 19 years, Joan Grcybowski, a son John P Schlacter III and grandson John P. Schlacter IV, both of Quakertown, brothers Mike Schlacter of Greensburg, Indiana, Andrew Toth Jr. of Allentown, Christopher Toth of Whitehall PA, and Mark Toth of Wescosville, PA . Step daughters Rita Hugh and Marie Evans both of Scranton, 5 step grandchildren and 10 step great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Thursday, July 22nd at 3:15 pm from the Allied Services Skilled Nursing Facility, 303 Smallacombe Dr., Scranton, PA.
