JoAnna Lynne Hutchins ,42, of Tunkhannock gained her heavenly wings on November 3, 2024 after an unexpected medical emergency. She is survived by her husband of 23 years, Dan Hutchins.
Born on July 27, 1982 at Tyler Memorial Hospital, Tunkhannock, she is the daughter of Jeff and Michaelle (Felker) Cox of Tunkhannock.
JoAnna was a 2000 graduate of Tunkhannock Area High School, where she met the love of her life, Dan. JoAnna and Dan celebrated 23 years of marriage on October 20, 2024.
JoAnna loved her family above all else. She enjoyed supporting her children in all of their interests and activities. She was Air Force proud and would ensure that Africa from Toto was played on the radio after sports practices for her son. Her heart was bursting with love the day she and Dan became Paw Paw and Mimi.
She also loved family get togethers, sunflowers, and backyard bonfires with Dan and the family. She loved crafting and sharing her talents with others. She looked forward to girls' days out with her mom, sister, and "The Girls". She shared her love of music and Pink with her girls.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by sons, Logan Hutchins (Emily) of JBMDL, New Jersey, Luke Hutchins of Tunkhannock; daughter, Alexis Hutchins (Noah) of Liverpool; parents, Jeff and Michaelle (Felker) Cox of Tunkhannock; sister, Miranda Sobotka (Jay); brother, James (Rose) Cox; grandsons, Jackson and soon to be delivered Landon Hutchins; nieces, Abigail, Bianca, Pricellla, and Serephina; nephews, Patrick, Matthew, Tanner, and David; maternal grandmother, Margaret Felker of Tunkhannock; paternal grandmother, Julie Cox of Seward, Nebraska; father-in-law, Dean Hutchins (Gail); mother-in-law, Polly Shoemaker (Todd) of Tunkhannock; brothers and sisters-in-law, Mandy Kettell (Sean) of Lake Winola, Marijo Kellogg (Travis) of Scranton, Mark Brozusky of Meshoppen, Ricky Hutchins (Christina) of Brooklyn, Jacey Mitchell (Robbie) of Mill City, Charlene Garvie of Tunkhannock, Lindsey Esposito (Josh) of Hazel Township, Josh Shoemaker of Tunkhannock; numerous Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
She is preceded in death by maternal grandfather, Jacob "Skip" Felker; paternal grandfather, James Cox; Godparents, Kimberly Felker and William "Bill" Felker; numerous Aunts, Uncles and cousins.
As per JoAnna's wishes there will be no funeral services. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ronald McDonald House of Danville, 24 Trembulak Way, Danville, PA 17821 or St. Luke's Hospitals which both held significance to JoAnna and her family.
