Jessie Jurista

Jessie (Bonnie) June Jurista, 90, of Monroe Township passed away Saturday, December 14, 2024 at Kingston Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. She is preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Michael Jurista in 2004.

Born on June 2, 1934 in Vernon, she is the daughter of the late Charles and Mable (Shupp) Everetts, Sr.

Jessie was a proud 1951 graduate of Tunkhannock High School. She contributed her talents to several positions in the area over the years.

She was also deeply rooted in her faith and community, being a devoted member of Kunkle United Methodist Church.

Throughout her life, Jessie maintained a strong connection with her family and friends. She loved keeping in touch with her loved ones and particularly enjoyed engaging conversations over the phone.

She is survived by daughter, Deborah Brody and husband Doug; sons, James Jurista, Scott Jurista, Brent Jurista (Sue Ide); 4 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by 4 siblings; granddaughter, Heather Martin.

Funeral services will be held privately. Interment will be held in Orcutt's Grove Cemetery, Tunkhannock.
