Harold Boice

Harold “Carl” Boice, 79 of Drost Boice Lane, Tunkhannock (Sugar Hollow) died Wednesday December 24, 2008 at home. He was born in Tunkhannock on July 31, 1929 son of the late Solomon and Evelyn Weed Boice. He was a 1947 graduate of Tunkhannock High School and was an Army Veteran and member of VFW Post 396. Prior to his retirement he was the owner and operator of Boice’s Valley View Farm in Eaton Township. He was preceded in death by his wife Regina C. “Jean” Boice and a grandson Jeremy Glover. Surviving is a daughter Deborah Boice of Tunkhannock, three sons Carl R. Boice of Rochester NY, Michael A Boice and George W. Matte both of Tunkhannock. A sister Shirley Stefanko of Tunkhannock and a brother Delmar Boice of Tunkhannock. Six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11 am from the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home, Inc., 73 West Tioga Street, Tunkhannock with the Rev. Lori Robinson pastor of the Eatonville United Methodist Church. Interment will be in Sunnyside Cemetery Tunkhannock. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 3 – 5 pm. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Wyoming County Humane Society, 9 East Tioga Street, Tunkhannock, PA 18657.
