Gaynel Waters

Gaynel Mildred Waters, 59, of Tunkhannock passed away Sunday, March 9, 2025 at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Joseph Waters.

Born on December 4, 1965 in Norwich, NY, she is the daughter of Harvey Pollock and Flora Bates.

She was a graduate of Bainbridge-Guilford High School in New York.

Gaynel committed her life to nurturing her loved ones as a full-time wife and mother. Her family was the centerpiece of her life. She found profound joy in spending time with her grandchildren, cherishing every moment spent reading to them and engaging in games.

In addition, she had a talent for knitting and sewing, hobbies that brought her satisfaction and a creative outlet.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughters, Matika Waters (Bill), Marissa Waters (Juan); sisters, Kathi Parker and Sheila Ditty; grandchildren, Kali, Gracie, Izabella, Alexandria, Christopher.

She is preceded in death by brothers, Tim Richard, Harvey Pollock.

Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
