Frederick Getz

Frederick M. Getz Sr. of Forksville formerly of Tunkhannock died Saturday evening, October 1st, in the Highland Care Center in Laporte. Fred was born in Wilkes-Barre on April 9, 1932 son of the late Jack and Anna Mae Chesney Getz. He had been employed by Central Penn Construction, Latona Trucking and Excavation and retired from TRL Trucking as an over the road long distance driver. Fred enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid motor sports enthusiast. He was a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather. Surviving is a son Frederick Getz Jr., of North Carolina, daughters Brenda Sands and companion Todd Fry of Forksville, Sandy and husband Jay Scala of Nicholson, 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. At Fred’s request there will be no viewing or funeral services. Arrangements by the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home Inc.,73 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock.
