Francis R. McKeon Sr., 89, of Springville, PA died Monday January 2, 2017. Son of the late John and Ruth Becker McKeon. Born in Sayreville, N.J., where he resided with his family until 1977 when he moved to Springville, PA. He was a Navy Veteran serving during WWII. Frank was an active member of Nativity BVM Church, Tunkhannock, PA. Frank loved his trucks, cars, snowmobiles, and 4 wheelers. His most recent “ride” was his Kawasaki Mule which he enjoyed cruising through the Slumber Valley Campground. He loved telling stories about his life, his family, and his days in the Navy. He is preceded in death by his wife of 61 years Helen Nebus McKeon. Brothers; John McKeon Jr. and Robert McKeon. He is survived by 5 children, Sharon and Edward Fallon of Farmingdale, NJ. Francis R. McKeon Jr. (Bob) and his fiancé Patricia Powers of Mehoopany, PA. David and Georgeann McKeon of Burlington, NJ. Mary Ann and David Jennings of Meshoppen, PA Jeffrey and Amy McKeon of Toms River, NJ. Sister; Martha Hartle of Rockville, MD. Brother; Walter McKeon, Cape Coral, FL. 14 grandchildren, and 10 greatgrandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday January 6, 2017 at 9 AM from the Church of Nativity BVM, Tunkhannock, PA. Friends and family may call at the funeral home Thursday from 4PM – 7PM. Burial will be private in Pieta Cemetery, Tunkhannock, PA. In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Tunkhannock Public Library, 220 W Tioga St, Tunkhannock, PA. or Church of Nativity BVM, 99 E Tioga St, Tunkhannock, PA.
