Florence S. Young

Florence S. Young, 90, of E. Lynn Rd., Springville died Wednesday, July 20th at Allied Skilled Nursing Center in Scranton. Born in Meshoppen April 22, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Clark and Helen Brooks Sherman. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Tracy R. Young Sr., and brother 2nd Lt. Earl G. Sherman. Prior to her retirement she was employed for a number of years by W.M. Golden and Son, Hall and Golden and Golden Lime Spreading in Springville. Later, she joined her father’s real estate business, and continued as a Licensed RES until her retirement. Surviving is a son Tracy R. and wife Joan Young, Jr. of Goode VA; daughter Earlene Manzer of Springville; sister Olitha Wiseman of Thurston Hollow; sister-in-law Charlotte and husband Ed Sidorski of Susquehanna, PA; grandchildren Tracey R. Young, III; Sheri and husband Larry Cramblitt of Baltimore, MD; great-grandchildren Douglas Young and Allison Cramblitt of Baltimore MD; great-great granddaughter Alexis Evans of Baltimore, MD; seven step grandchildren; twenty-two step great- grandchildren, ten step great-great grandchildren as well as nieces and nephews and the staff and residents at Allied to whom she was known and loved as their “Gram”. A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family at a future date. Arrangements by Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home, 73 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock, PA.
