Fern Kromelbein of Tunkhannock formerly of Crestview Court, Athens died Wednesday in the Golden Living Center in Tunkhannock.
Fern was born in Centermoreland on July 15, 1925 daughter of the late Floyd B. and Ruth Terry Corby. She was a graduate of Beaumont High School class of 1943. Fern and her late husband Harold Lee âBudâ Kromelbein were the owners of Budâs Driving Range, Dairy Bar and par 3 Golf Course in Waverly NY from 1958 to 1971. She was a member of the Athens United Methodist Church.
In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by a sister Evelyn Galloway, brothers Oscar, Floyd, and Archie Corby. Surviving are sons Harold Lee Kromelbein of Athens, Robert Terry Kromelbein of Waverly NY, brother Malcolm Corby of Tunkhannock, Sister Ruth Greenly of Tunkhannock, ½ brothers William, Walt and Charles Corby all of Tunkhannock, ½ sisters Harriett Burkholder of Lancaster, Alice Singer of Wysox. 1 grandson Dylan Lee Kromelbein and a granddaughter Kayla Kromelbein.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 12 noon from the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home Inc. 73 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock, with Rev. Donald Anderson. Interment will be in Sunnyside Cemetery Tunkhannock. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 am until the time of service.
