Ernest B. Conklin

Ernest B. Conklin of Tunkhannock died on Monday in the Tyler Memorial Hospital in Tunkhannock. He was born in Campgaw, NJ on September 26, 1931, son of the late Sampson and Lena Montanya Conklin. He was a veteran of the United States Army, served in the Korean War, and was a member of the Franklin Lakes Fire Department for 50 Years. He is survived by his son Ernest J., of Haskell, NJ, daughters Lorna Hoefner, of Killeen, TX, and Jane Emmett of Tunkhannock; a brother Herbert of Florida, six grandchildren and one great granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his wife Grace J. (Leffel) Conklin, six brothers and two sisters. Funeral services will be held at a later date.
