Elva L. Minckler

Elva L. Minckler of Tunkhannock died Saturday in the Meadow View Senior Living Center Montrose. She was born in West Wyoming on July 6, 1927 daughter of the late John and Nellie Wittaman Troy. She was a member of the Tunkhannock Eastern Star Chapter 74 and attended the Grace Fellowship Church in Tunkhannock. She was preceded in death by her husband George E. Minckler Sr. and a brother George Troy. Surviving are two sons, George of Dalton and Leonard of Tunkhannock, four grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Funeral and committal services will be held on Wednesday at 11 am from the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home, 73 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock. Officiating will be Pastor Michael Conroy of the Grace Fellowship Church in Tunkhannock. Interment will be in South Eaton Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 6 – 8 pm. Eastern Star services will be conducted by Eastern Star Chapter 74 of Tunkhannock at 7:30 pm. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Heartland Hospice Association, 38 North Main St, Pittston, PA 18640.
