Eleanor Roberts

Eleanor Roberts, 95, of Nicholson passed away Friday, May 5, 2023 at The Gardens, Tunkhannock. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Theodore Roberts. 

Born on December 20, 1927 in Scranton, she is the daughter of the late Guy and Freida Johnson Barnes. 

Eleanor was a graduate of Dalton High School and then began her career at Bendix, where she worked for 40 years.

Eleanor never failed to make time for the things she loved in life. This is reflected in her proudest accomplishment as a volunteer at Tyler Hospital for over 50 years. She also enjoyed camping at Shore Forest Campground. They spent summers there for 47 years. Eleanor had an impressive talent and love for crocheting and sewing. 

In addition to her husband, she is survived by sons, Theodore R. Roberts and wife Jennifer (Nicholson), Keith Roberts (Montrose); daughters, Cinda Novitch and husband Mark (Nicholson), Linda Castorina and husband Larry (Nicholson), Cindy Cook and husband Dan (Tunkhannock); several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
