Donald R. Wall, 82, of Tunkhannock passed away Sunday, September 24, 2023 at Allied Hospice, Wilkes Barre. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Sally (Appleby) Wall.
Born on July 23, 1941 in Pittson, he is the son of the late Loyd and Eleanor (Richards) Wall. He was a member of the Dymond Hollow United Methodist Church.
Donald provided guidance and inspiration for over 30 years to countless students within the Wyoming Area School District. Donald's passion was evident through the positive impact he had on the lives of those with whom he interacted both inside and outside the school.
In addition to his dedication to the Wyoming Area School District, Donald also found fulfillment in serving others by working at Browns Van Service of Tunkhannock until his retirement. He took great joy in assisting individuals with transportation needs and making their lives easier. His kind-hearted nature and willingness to lend a helping hand made him an invaluable asset to the community.
Outside of work, Donald had a passion for nature and the great outdoors. He found solace in the beauty of nature, particularly through camping at Frances Slocum and Lackawanna State Parks. Whether it was gathering around a campfire or embarking on adventures amidst picturesque landscapes, these moments allowed him to create cherished memories filled with laughter and joy.
Another one of Donald's passions was fishing. With a rod in hand and accompanied by loved ones, he would spend hours by the water hoping for that perfect catch.
Above all else, Donald's proudest accomplishment was spending quality time with his beloved family. He treasured every moment shared with his spouse, children, and grandchildren. Whether it was family vacations, holiday gatherings, or simply enjoying each other's company at home, his devotion to his loved ones knew no bounds.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons, Donald Wall and wife Anne, Matthew Wall; grandsons, Christopher and Michael Wall; brothers, Robert and wife Sandra, Ronald and wife Angela.
He is preceded in death by brother, John Wall; sister, Katherine Phillips.
Family and friends are invited to attend Donald's memorial service which will be held on Friday September 29, 2023 at 11:00AM from the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home, 73 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock, PA 18657.
A visitation will be held from 9:00AM until the time of service.
