Donald D. Shoemaker Donald D. Shoemaker, 59, of Montrose passed away on Monday, November 2, 2009. Born in Meshoppen July 29, 1950, he was the son of the late Leo and Hazel Shoemaker. He attended school at Elk Lake and was employed as a forklift operator at Rex Tex. He is survived by his wife Claudia DeRemer Shoemaker, sons; Donald D Shoemaker Jr. and his finance Jennifer Smock of Ashley, and David Shoemaker of Tunkhannock. Brothers; Butch and wife Lori Shoemaker of Tunkhannock, Bill and wife Rosie Shoemaker of Mehoopany, and Glenn Shoemaker of Laceyville, grandsons Evan and Riley Smock of Ashley as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by a brother Carl Shoemaker and a sister Betty Wolfe. A memorial service will be held Friday, November 6, at 11 am at the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home, Inc, 73 West Tioga St., Tunkhannock.
