Dolores Bush

Dolores Bush, 84, of Tunkhannock passed away Monday, February 24, 2025 at home. She is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Melvin Bush in 2019.

Born on March 2, 1940 in Wilkes-Barre, she is the daughter of the late David and Irene (Tullai) Gregory.

After graduating from Newport High School in 1958, Dolores embarked on a career at Bell Telephone, where she contributed to the company with dedication. However, her most cherished role was that of a devoted housewife.

Dolores was also deeply involved in her community, serving as a member of the Nativity of the BVM Church and taking on the rewarding role as a Den Mother for the Tunkhannock Cub Scouts.

Her true joy came from her family, particularly her grandchildren, with whom she loved to spend as much time as she could.

She is survived by sons, Paul Bush and wife Susan, David Bush; daughter, Jeannine Tirpak and husband Mark; grandchildren, Stefanie and Michael Colarusso, Matthew, Stacy, Fallon Bush, Nathaniel and Aaron Tirpak; great-grandchildren, Francesca and Jude Colarusso, Stella and Jamasyn Bush, Charlie and Korie Jones.

Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
